Ashland Roller Mills, a registered National Historic Landmark outside of Richmond, Virginia.  This is the first project Chris Nash cut his teeth on as a Superintendent. The original structure is the smaller building nearest the dam.  The expansion consisted of the two pre-engineered buildings that “book end” the tall addition.  The original building houses a waterwheel that powers oscillating grain sifters in the taller structure.  The foundation was anchored to bedrock supporting a very stout concrete frame designed to withstand the momentum of the swaying sifters.
